"I have been teaching for 22 years. The majority of that time has been spent teaching special education in grades 4 and 5. I also have experience teaching at the Pre-K level as well as the high school level.

I am permanently certified to teach general education birth-Grade 6, and special education birth-Grade 12. I am also certified in Literacy.

I have extensive experience working with students with learning disabilities in reading, writing and math. My current position requires me to accommodate students so that they have access to the grade level curriculum. I have also worked with students on the Autism Spectrum, students with Central Auditory Processing Disorder, and a multitude of behavioral concerns. Over the past few years, I have also worked with students who speak languages other than English.

I have been trained in PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. I was my school building's coach for that program for 5 years. I have also been trained in UDL, Balanced Literacy, Inclusion, Differentiation, and much more.
