"I have been an elementary educator in both Florida and North Carolina for over 25 years. I am a proud National Board Certified Teacher who consistently shows high growth with my students. I have a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and have been trained and certified in the Science of Reading through the LETRS Program.

My philosophy has always been create a lesson where my students are having so much fun they do not even know they are learning. I love games and I teach using many different kinds of games and hands on activities. A student must be engaged and have a positive growth mindset in order to achieve their highest level of learning and success.

I tutor each summer when I am not teaching as I love working with students and am always wanting to grow and learn myself and others. All students can learn if the educator is willing to find the correct strategies and tools. Growth is the goal and it needs to be evident to both the student and their family. By using various assessment tools, I will demonstrate learning growth with all of my students.
