My name is Luis, and I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience and a Master’s in Biomedical Sciences from Duke University. I am currently a third-year medical student who has completed two years of rigorous preclinical coursework, covering advanced biology, chemistry, genetics, and physiology. My academic journey has given me a strong foundation in the sciences and honed my problem-solving skills — both of which I love sharing with my students. I have a deep passion for learning and believe that with the right guidance, every student can develop confidence and mastery in even the most challenging subjects.

I bring over three years of tutoring experience working with high school and college students in subjects such as Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. My approach focuses on breaking complex concepts into clear, manageable steps and using real-life examples to make learning relatable and engaging. I also teach students evidence-based study techniques like active recall and spaced repetition, which I personally use in medical school.
