"Hello! My name is Vee and I am currently a PhD student in Clinical Psychology. I graduated with a 4.00 GPA from the University of Denver in Clinical Psychology and was awarded a Dean’s scholarship award for academic excellence. I also hold a Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree from India in Clinical Psychology and graduated with a 8.64 gpa and was awarded first distinction and special recognition for publication of independent research studies. During my time at the University of Denver, I worked as a tutor for undergraduate students for over 2 years in different subjects ranging from Psychology, Sociology, Statistics and Research to Writing, Reading comprehension.

I started tutoring as a way to support myself financially in school but it soon became an avenue for growth and learning. I spend a significant amount of prep time prior to tutoring sessions to assist with concepts and assignments to the best of my ability. My own experience in the field of mental health and sciences as well as in writing and publishing academic papers has shaped my expertise and knowledge.

I love to make learning fun and may give random fun facts related to the subject to make it interesting and knowledgeable. I avoid a power dynamic of a teacher and student and enjoy a peer tutor relationship so that you feel comfortable sharing your frustration or your comfort with subjects and topics we study together :).
