"I have been a classroom teacher, a tutor, written math resource books for teachers, and taught GED. My undergraduate degree is in Science Education from Virginia Tech, and a master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction from the College of William & Mary.

While working full-time with Upward Bound programs, one of my responsibilities was helping students apply for college. Often, in applying for college or while applying for scholarships, this included helping the students write a personal statement. I had a 100% success rate for students being admitted to at least one college and about an 85% success rate for students receiving at least 1 scholarship.

My tutoring experience includes one on one and small groups. I can tutor elementary math (up to 7th grade) and elementary phonics and reading comprehension.
