"More than 2,000 students and 5,000 hours of teaching led to one consistent result- a perfect 5.0 rating from families who’ve seen grades rise, test scores jump, and confidence grow. I have a bachelor degree in chemical engineering from the University of Virginia and masters in business administration at Case Western Reserve University.

Many of my students earn the A’s they never got before and raise their math SAT scores by at least 100 points. Many students lift their scores into the 700s and even 800. I repeatedly take the test myself to ensure I remain at or near the 800 level in my own performance.

I’m able to help both ends of the student spectrum, whether it’s the student who needs to build confidence in the fundamentals or the gifted student who wants a tutor who can explain the derivations of advanced concepts in preparation for the free responses on AP exams.

Apart from 20 years of teaching, I have 7 years of experience as a chemical engineer in the R&D side of the polymer industry and 8 years as a senior manager at Ernst & Young’s management consulting. Parents of college and high school students appreciate that I can connect higher math to its real applications in industry. What exciting opportunities they have ahead!

I saw these opportunities realized in my own kids. By homeschooling them with STEM expertise and real industry experience, I was able to instill in them a clear sense of direction for college and their careers. That focus helped them earn full scholarships and land positions as software engineers at major tech and game development companies.

I taught in homeschool groups, in the public school system and online. I love online most because with today’s tools I’m able to reach students around the world.
