"Hi! My name is Austin, and I study Biological Sciences at the University of Notre Dame. I am on the pre-medical track, have scored a 521 on the MCAT, and would love to help you pursue your dreams of studying the sciences in college or attending medical school. I began tutoring four years ago for ACT prep at the high school level. Since then, I've been a volunteer tutor for middle and high school students, specializing in math. Additionally, I've tutored my peers throughout college in subjects like chemistry, biology, physics, and biochemistry! My experience across age ranges has allowed me to adapt my approach and cater to each student’s individual needs and learning styles!

In addition to tutoring, I have worked for over two years in a developmental biology research lab, and I strive to integrate the "big picture" concepts into a cohesive understanding–a skill I deliver in every tutoring session. My teaching methods serve to build strong foundations in my students, later sharpening their learning through practice problems and assessments to understand the ins and outs of each rigorous concept. As a visual learner, I enjoy drawing illustrations and making charts and diagrams to understand concepts, making complex material easier to understand and remember.
