"Hey guys! I am currently a 2nd year MD student on full-tuition scholarship at the Medical College of Georgia. I self-studied for the MCAT and received a score of 522 out of 528 in May 2021. I also self-studied and scored at the top my class on the Step 1 CBSE. I have experience in assisting students in creating their individualized study schedules and strategies. I look forward to providing my students with the necessary skills and strategies to be successful on the MCAT and Step 1.

I received a score of 522 (99th Percentile) out of 528 on my MCAT. My score breakdown was C/P: 131 (99th Percentile), CARS: 129 (95th Percentile), B/B: 131 (98th Percentile), & P/S: 131 (97th Percentile).

Throughout my 4.5 months of studying for the MCAT, I saw gradual yet significant increases in my practice test scores going from 503 to 522. I aim to give every one of my students an individualized approach to studying by utilizing my experience in fine-tuning my own studies.

Methods:

Students should ideally give themselves 5 months to study for the MCAT and should meet with me on their first day of studying. Students will meet with me for an initial 2-hour session to review every tool they will utilize to succeed. Technology will be your best friend to help you retain knowledge throughout the 5 months of studying. Beyond understanding the tools you will utilize to study, we will meet to set a study schedule for the next 5 months. I stand by the belief that cramming and over-stressing are the worst things you can do while studying. Instead of studying 8 hours a day for 2-3 months, 4 hours of daily studying with occasional breaks over 5 months is much more attainable.

My approach to the MCAT is understanding that 1/3 of the test is actual content, 1/3 is knowing how to approach the short passage questioning, and 1/3 is the endurance necessary to focus throughout the 7.5 hours of testing. I will make sure that you are prepared by maximizing your potential and skill in every one of these aspects to taking the MCAT." less...
