"About me:

I am a highest honors (3.99 GPA) graduate from UCSB with a degree in Cell & Developmental Biology working as a birth assistant and tutor before applying to med school. I took the MCAT in August 2023 after 2 months of self-studying and scored a 522 (C/P 131, CARS 128, B/B 131, P/S 132). I hadn’t taken P/S or biochem, so I taught myself using targeted resources - which I’ll share with you! I’ve tutored students from 5th grade through college, and recently worked as a TA for Molecular Genetics at UCSB. I’ve also tutored General + Organic Chemistry and Physiology. I have helped raise the MCAT scores of multiple friends at UCSB through 1on1 tutoring! My widespread teaching experiences have deepened both my content knowledge and ability to clearly explain these complex topics. Due to this, I specialize in science sections, including P/S, which I self-studied to a 132. If you’re struggling with science-heavy content, I know I can help you master it!!

My Philosophy:

My MCAT tutoring experience will be very unique. I work with a very small number of students at a time, allowing me to fully invest in each journey with custom lesson plans, progress tracking, and personalized feedback. I aim to not just be your tutor, but your strategist, coach, and accountability partner through the full prep process. Together, we'll create a study schedule tailored to your timeline and learning style. On your own days, you’ll follow a clear plan using low-cost, high-yield resources I personally recommend. In our sessions, we’ll focus on content gaps, breaking down tough material, reviewing problems, and strategy work. Meeting frequency and length is totally flexible - whatever works best for you!

Policies:

I offer a FREE 30-minute call to get to know each other and discuss goals before our 1st session :) As for cancelling/rescheduling, I require 6 hours notice before a half-price fee, and no-shows are charged in full.
