I’m Osman, a student at the University of Kentucky, where I’m studying Finance and Mathematical Sciences and holding a 3.8 GPA. I’ve been lucky enough to join programs like Wall Street Scholars and Global Scholars, which have given me a sharper perspective on both academics and the professional world. For the past three years, I’ve been tutoring at Mathnasium of West Lexington, spending about twelve hours a week helping K–12 students. Whether I’m guiding a second grader through fractions or a high school senior through calculus, I focus on laying a solid foundation, sparking curiosity, and helping students spot patterns and connections. With a 35 on the ACT and advanced coursework under my belt—like AP Calculus AB/BC, AP Statistics, Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Number Theory, Abstract Algebra, and Probability Theory—I’ve developed a deep understanding of math that shapes how I teach. I break down complex ideas into clear, relatable steps. Beyond tutoring, I’ve served as a teaching assistant for undergraduate finance courses, competed in the Putnam Competition, and worked in mergers and acquisitions, where I saw firsthand how math and logic drive real-world decisions.
