"I have been tutoring for as long as I can remember. Even in grade school, I was always the first one to help a classmate. I took on the moniker of tutor officially in high school, which has been a surprising 20+ years ago. I have a passion for learning as well as sharing what I've learned. That love goes beyond the classroom.

I have had the dream of being an educator since the 5th grade thanks to my teacher. He showed me that learning did not have to be stiff, boring book work but fun and entertaining. I try to take that same approach with every lesson I teach. I love seeing the "ah-ha" moment when a child learns and understands the content.

I have 20+ years of tutoring experience. For the past 6+ years, I have taught in Prince George's County and DC Publics. Both districts use the Common Core curriculum and standards. In addition, I have meant most of that time on the leadership team that helped write, scaffold, and develop lesson plans from the Common Core curriculum.
