Here's my motto: Where clear thinking meets curiosity—tutoring built on science, stories, and heart.”
I am currently a freshman at the University of California, Irvine, with a background that blends science, engineering, and the humanities. Before coming to the U.S., I earned a National First Prize in the Chinese Physics Olympiad, where I learned to reason from first principles and solve complex problems with clarity. I also enjoy hands-on creation; one of my recent projects was a voice-controlled lamp I designed for my community using the photoelectric effect and a sound-sensitive resistor—an example of turning abstract physics into something useful and alive.
I tutor elementary through high-school physics, math, chemistry, and Chinese, including classical philosophy and poetry. I have worked one-on-one with younger students, peers, and family friends’ children, helping them strengthen fundamentals, overcome anxiety, and develop confidence. My teaching method reflects my mixed background: I use scientific logic to make STEM subjects simple and intuitive, and I use humanistic clarity—stories, analogies, precise language—to make ideas memorable.
I prepare carefully for each session, track progress, and adapt explanations to each student’s pace. Parents describe me as patient, responsible, and easy to communicate with; students say my explanations feel calm and straightforward.
I’m talkative by nature and endlessly curious. I meet the world with hope, and I bring that same energy into tutoring—warm, steady, and fully engaged. My goal is not only to raise scores, but to help students think clearly, see deeply, and grow at the intersection of logic and imagination." less...
