"My tutoring sessions are dynamic, fun and relevant. My students are eager to do well but may be distracted, discouraged or overwhelmed, lacking the foundational skills they need to get organized, focus and complete assignments effectively.

During our time together, we'll work to build reading, comprehension, writing, editing and study skills. Every student has a best way to learn. Once we find it, their confidence, participation and interest in learning grows exponentially.

For 20+ years, I was a volunteer tutor at the East Harlem School at Exodus House, Grades 4-8. I have worked with college students to edit their papers for a more powerful presentation and grade. I have tutored adults to pass their GED exams and ESL students to grasp material in an unfamiliar language.

Besides tutoring, I am a grief resilience coach, bestselling author of The Bad Widow Guide to Life After Loss: Moving Through Grief to Live and Love Again, Grief BeLIEF podcast co-host and global speaker. I have been a proofreader and editor since 1999 for medical, legal, advertising and publishing firms, and was an editorial assistant at the UN for the 2021 General Assembly.
