"Hi, my name is Gavin Troy, and I’m currently a medical student at Indiana University School of Medicine, pursuing my Doctor of Medicine degree. I graduated from Wake Forest University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a GPA of 3.96 and inducted into Phi Beta Kappa honor society, and I’ve been deeply involved in both scientific research and peer tutoring throughout my academic career.

During my undergraduate years at Wake Forest, I worked as a peer tutor through the Interfraternity Council, supporting students in Biology, Chemistry, and MCAT preparation. I provided personalized, one-on-one academic support that helped students not only master difficult concepts but also develop study strategies tailored to their individual learning styles. My goal as a tutor has always been to boost both understanding and confidence.

My approach is highly student-centered and adaptable. I aim to break down complex ideas into manageable pieces, using clear explanations, active questioning, and real-world examples. I’ve tutored college-level students, but I also welcome the opportunity to work with high school students who are preparing for AP sciences, standardized tests, or early college coursework.
