"Besides academic credentials (graduated Phi Beta Kappa), I've had very rich experience, both in employment and non-academic learning. I taught several years in secondary education and have substituted for simply everything. I so enjoy weaving students' textbook lessons with input of my own that students seldom found my classes dull.
I know Traditional English and Transformational Grammar, can teach either, and show the link between them. I have some simple fail-proof methods for teaching students how to construct organized, readable matter. I have certification and experience in Technical Writing and expository, persuasive writing that teach the practical needs of students in the work force. As for Literature, my students will learn how to extract important themes and how to relate its value to their present lives.
ACT English, word analogies, critical thinking are all within my scope of directing students how-to. Grammar I know well. I know literature and how to use quotes to great advantage. Public Speaking includes Area & District champion of Toastmasters, as well as Triple Crown and other wins and titles. I can be very analytical and persuasive. Have been sought by management many times to write the request, the explanation, the summation of many work-related matters
I can probably handle any kind of need a person has in the field of "English," whether it term papers, expository papers, resumes, or controversial issues. I do feel I teach the power of self-reflection on their own writing, and how to enhance it with literary knowledge." less...
