"I am currently a student at Stevens Institute of Technology pursuing a degree in chemical engineering. I have extensive experience as a tutor and as an instructor. I have worked for 3 years as a peer tutor for my university's academic support center, where I assist other undergraduates in subjects ranging from chemistry and physics to calculus and circuits. I have also worked for Mathnasium as a math instructor, where I conducted sessions for students from various grade levels.
I enjoy tutoring because I love to work with students and help them become independent and creative problem solvers. As someone who received tutoring support in the past, I realize what a valuable tool it can be. I enjoy the positivity and friendliness that my students show along the way as well.
I took advanced placement courses in statistics and calculus and achieved the highest grade possible on those advanced placement exams. I have taken honors classes in geometry with a grade of 100 on the NYS regents exam. I have also assisted other students with these courses as a tutor for my university.
I took advanced placement courses in physics and chemistry in high school with high grades on both exams. I also took advanced physics in college, covering mechanics and electricity & magnetism. My major, chemical engineering, has provided me with extensive coursework in these topics. I also tutor these courses at my university.
Please feel free to contact me if you have questions or would like to schedule sessions with me. I welcome anybody who brings a positive attitude and who is willing to learn." less...
