"I’m currently a third-year medical student and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts. My academic journey has been grounded in a strong math foundation. In high school, I graduated with a 4.9 GPA while taking all accelerated and honors-level courses. I earned 5’s on the majority of my AP exams, including a 5 on AP Calculus BC, and consistently performed at the top of my class.
I have over three years of formal tutoring experience, working at Mathnasium where I taught students ranging from elementary school through high school. During my time there, I focused on one-on-one instruction and small group sessions, helping students develop conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills across subjects including Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Calculus. I adapted my teaching to meet individual student needs, using visual aids, verbal reasoning, and practice problems to make abstract concepts clear and accessible.
Prior to Mathnasium, I volunteered as a high school peer tutor, working primarily with students in Algebra and Geometry. Across both experiences, I’ve worked with learners at a variety of skill levels—from students needing remedial support to those preparing for AP-level coursework or standardized exams.
As someone who has successfully navigated a rigorous academic path and now studies medicine, I bring patience, professionalism, and a deep understanding of how to make challenging material approachable. My tutoring style is supportive and structured—I aim to build students’ confidence alongside their competence." less...
