"With over ten years of experience conducting research in both academia and industry, I have developed a deep appreciation for the beauty and practicality of mathematics. Throughout my research career, I have explored complex mathematical concepts, data analysis, and problem-solving techniques that bridge theoretical understanding with real-world applications. I was in the top ten in a state-based math competition in college. I was also in the top 1% in the Putnam competition in college. I also taught advanced math classes during my PhD.
Alongside this professional journey, I have also spent time tutoring students in my local community, an experience that has been both rewarding and eye-opening. Working with learners of different ages and backgrounds has reminded me of how transformative good teaching can be — not just for mastering math, but for building confidence and curiosity.
Now, I am ready to take this passion to the next level by transitioning into full-time tutoring. My goal is to make mathematics more accessible, enjoyable, and meaningful for students who may find it challenging or intimidating. I believe that with the right guidance, anyone can understand math and even come to appreciate its elegance. I aim to tailor my lessons to each student’s individual needs and learning style, focusing not only on improving grades but also on nurturing problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
Whether it’s helping a high school student prepare for exams, supporting a college learner with advanced topics, or assisting professionals who use math in their work, I am excited to dedicate myself fully to teaching. Tutoring allows me to combine my research background, teaching experience, and genuine enthusiasm for mathematics into one fulfilling mission — helping others succeed." less...
