"I am currently a computer science student at Ohlone College who loves what he does My favorite subject is math, and I love helping others develop their math skills. It is common to see people have a bad relationship math, or think they just simply aren't good at it. My mission is to show them that getting good at math is possible for everyone, and just how fun it can be.

I have been tutoring my peers for well over a year now. The age group has been from 18-20, and my approach consists of the following. I will explain the concept, have the student solve a problem, then go back and explain the concept to me. I have found this to be the best way to teach, as students get a good grasp on the topic once they are able to explain it in depth. The topics I have tutored so far include Precalculus I and II, Calculus I and II, and Trigonometry.

My teaching experience so far has been in school settings where we get to work with whiteboards. The groups can vary from 1 to 5 people, depending on how many people are asking for help. For this time, I have volunteered as a tutor for my peers, so I have not made money off of this yet. I simply just love helping others improve their grades." less...
