"I obtained my bachelor’s degree in business administration (accounting focus) in 2014. After graduating college, I then obtained my Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) professional designation in Canada 18 months (the quickest time-period possible) while continuing to work full-time as an accountant. After that, I completed the four Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exams within 7 months to obtain my second CPA in the state of Washington.

I have always had a passion for training and developing others. This took the form of participating in our firm’s training system and teaching them necessary aspects of their job as well as basic to intermediate accounting concepts. Through a couple of promotions and an eventual job change, I continued to focus on and develop my ability to train and develop others until I was appointed as the firm’s CPA Program Lead. I was responsible for the training and development of all of our firm’s accountants that were working on obtaining their CPA. I would ensure they were learning the requisite technical accounting knowledge and would ultimately need to provide my approval on their final application to become a CPA.

I take an adaptive approach to learning based on each individual’s style or preference. I want to guide you to truly understanding technical concepts rather than just providing the right answer. My ultimate goal is to help you reach the requisite depth and breadth to succeed not just academically, but also in your career.

I have over a decade of business, accounting, and finance experience and have worked with a wide variety of business in the US, Canada, and abroad. I hold two active professional accounting designations in the United States and Canada and keep up to date on the latest business, finance, and accounting issues through continued professional education.
