"Marhaba! (Hello!) I am Nathan and I am tutor specializing in history, psychology, and writing. I graduated from Siena College (Now Siena University) in 2022 Sum Cum Laude majoring in History and Psychology; although, back in 2018 i never thought this was to be my path. In 2018 I enrolled in Siena College as a history education major but soon felt disillusioned by a program seeped in test statistics and classroom structuring wanting instead courses on how to engage students and to learn how we as people learn; I choose therefore to declare a psychology major and prioritized coursework relating to learning, sociology, child psychology and trauma. I attempt to bring what I have learned from these courses and my experiences as a teaching assistant in K-12 to my tutoring sessions and try to engage with students during our sessions in order to make learning enjoyable and encourage creativity.

In my final year I choose to study abroad in Jordan and underwent another major change in aspirations. This change manifested in my decision to enroll at Washington University in St. Louis as a student in the Jewish, Islamic, and Middle Eastern Studies department where I began my Arabic journey and was provided an opportunity to be a teacher's assistant. The act of lecturing and opportunities to connect with students after class or during office hours reinvigorated my desire to teach and in order to fulfill this void I sought online tutoring. After nearly two years of tutoring and working with students ranging from high schoolers to graduate students I am excited to carry on in my tutoring journey.
