My job here is to help you meet your goals. I want to see you succeed, and I’m capable of making sure you have the tools and resources necessary to be successful. Your job is to give it your all by posting and engaging in our sessions, as well as making sure you dedicate enough time each week to be successful.

I have been teaching college courses in English composition and literature for over 15 years. Prior to my career as an instructor, I made my living for over 14 years as a writer, editor, and marketer for non-profit organizations. I transitioned to teaching because I worked with way too many people who lacked confidence in their writing skills, and I thought if I could help even a few people gain a more positive approach to writing, I should (and, also, a part of me missed talking with other people about literature and lit theory).

In terms of my education, I have a B.A. in English and education from Albright College, and an M.A. in British and American literature from The College of William and Mary. I have completed coursework toward a Ph.D. in English composition from Indiana University of Pennsylvania." less...
