"Hi! I’m Rae. I tutor students in 4th–10th grade in English, reading comprehension, and writing skills. I focus on confidence-building, structure, and step-by-step guidance so learning feels calm, clear, and manageable. I create an encouraging environment where students can slow down, understand their assignments, and feel proud of their progress.

A little about my background: I began working with students as a teacher’s assistant in 2nd and 4th-grade classrooms. I later earned my degree in Communication and have spent the last 6 years working as a certified training officer and crisis communications specialist. Through this experience, I’ve developed a patient, supportive teaching style that meets students where they are and helps them grow over time.

I am a self-published author of young adult fiction, poetry, children, and self-help books. I have dedicated most of my studies to creative writing and have been to several workshops on the topics. I enjoy peer reviewing writings and teaching others how to amplify their descriptive fiction writing.
