"When I was young I thought I wasn't smart. I know how it feels. Later, I nailed strategies for academic success. I won national academic awards and numerous scholarships and earned my Masters and PhD. I help children, teens, college-students, and grad students build academic confidence and success, and I make it fun. My six-year-old pupil who froze with stress when trying to read or write quickly shifted into joyful reading and writing. My international grad student, who was flunking a core requirement while also struggling with English, earned a B, allowing him to graduate and pursue his dreams. Patient and encouraging, I tailor my tutoring to the student's needs and learning style.
Throughout my doctoral training, fellow students sought me out for academic help. Later, teaching at a university, I helped students succeed despite challenges. I have extensive training in child and adult development and the brain, learning, intelligence, and clinical psychology, as well as math, music, and other fields. I previously worked with children and adults as their psychotherapist. Now I work with normal individuals of all ages to lay aside self doubt and succeed academically.
