"Hello, I’m Jacob! I am a student currently earning my degree in Accounting with a minor in Social Justice and Certificate in leadership skills. Outside of academics, I have studied Music, Martial Arts, and Debate, all of which were experiences that have shaped my learning method, which I can now pass in confidence down to you!

I believe tutoring isn’t just about mastering a subject; it’s about learning HOW to learn. My goal is to give students the tools and strategies they need to succeed in any subject. I make lessons engaging by connecting material to students’ interests, and using hands-on, engagement-focused methods. My approach draws from my own tutors, impactful teachers, and research-backed learning strategies, ensuring lessons are effective and adaptable.

I exploit this method to its fullest by truly measuring and engaging with my students, ensuring certain progress by administering my own intake exams, providing custom work, applying what we’ve learned to my students’ homework if possible, and repeating processes to hone understanding before finally readministering the intake, to show my students how far they’ve come.

My direct experience comes from tutoring individuals of all ages across various subjects. These experiences have helped me develop skills that reinforce my students and build confidence in themselves. While you’ll work directly with me, I also collaborate with an experienced mentor who provides guidance behind the scenes, to ensure optimal quality; however, they are never in sessions and they do not have access to personal details.
