"Greetings! When I first took my bookkeeping class a long time ago, as part of my vocational training, I knew this is what I want to do to make a living, this is what I understand. Nothing seemed more straightforward and cut and dry than allocating the numbers between the left and right side of the accounting equation.

I have been helping students make sense of accounting on and off for 20 years. I like to help you understand it and make sense of it all!

In 1995 I graduated from Martin-Luther University in Germany as Diplom-Kauffrau in Business Administration, majoring in accounting. When I first came to the US in 1995/1996, I took Principles of Accounting 1 and 2, and Intermediate Accounting 1 and 2 and Advanced Accounting at Howard Community College in Columbia, MD. That actually helped me tremendously in improving in the English Language as I translated every word that I did not know, from my accounting books. I didn't have to worry about the accounting content since I was already familiar with that part. It was more about learning the English accounting vocabulary.

In 1999 I got my first accounting tutoring job at Howard Community College in Columbia, MD. Later on I have been tutoring at the Community College of Baltimore County at the Catonsville, MD location from 2004-2008 and again from 2014-2017. All accounting tutoring was part-time as I have worked full-time jobs in accounting departments to make a living.

I have tutored many students before, and have worked in the different areas in an accounting department. Completing assignments with a tutor and talking what it's all about will help you memorizing the material.
