"As a biomedical engineer, I take a more concept based approach to teaching. As a teacher and private tutor of 6 years, I believe that the best way to ensure retention and success in learning is to make sure the student understands the "why" of a concept or problem, and not just "how" it is solved. I am a dynamic tutor, with experience and knowledge learning and teaching a wide variety of subjects. As a biomedical engineer from a top 10 undergraduate program, I have lots of experience in higher order calculus, differential equations, chemistry, biology, mechanics, and thermodynamics. Now, as a medical student, my expertise has only increased, especially in the fields of cell biology, genetics, and evolution.

However, my experience is not only limited to STEM. I also scored a composite 36 on the ACT, and have experience tutoring all ACT subjects. My experience as an AP student, having successfully completed 11 AP classes with grades of 95% or above and having taken and passed 9 AP exams allows me to teach a wide breadth of topics with ease.

As both a current student and a teacher, I understand the challenges students face when learning in today's classrooms under current curriculums, and I also know the ways that have helped me and my peers overcome those challenges.
