"Hi, I'm Olivia! I hold a B.S. in Biochemistry with a minor in Nanotechnology and have worked in research labs in both industry and academia, inside and outside of the U.S. I'm very passionate about and well-versed in both science and English, as many of my research positions have also involved high-level publication writing. However, I wouldn't have had access to so many of these opportunities without my ACT score, which opened the door to over $140,000 in scholarship money from my university and many times that amount cumulatively across the other schools I applied to. This opened my eyes to just how impactful ACT scores can be, which is why I now care so much about helping students improve their scores in an efficient, realistic way.

On the ACT, I earned a 34 overall, with a 33 in Science and perfect scores of 36 in both English and Reading. I reached these scores using strategies and study periods that made scoring high feel simple and repeatable rather than overwhelming. During my undergraduate degree, I consistently helped other students with a wide range of STEM subjects, from general chemistry, biology, physics, and calculus to more advanced courses such as organic chemistry, physical chemistry, and biochemistry. I also specialized in advanced writing and English, and I regularly proofread essays, giving writing advice to friends simply because I enjoyed it.

With my degree and background, I understand how challenging it can be to juggle large amounts of information. This has shaped how I tutor. I focus on breaking information down into systems that are easy to remember and apply, rather than overloading students with individual facts.
