By intentionally seeking the best approach to help a student understand concepts or master skills, I thoroughly study for and prepare for each tutoring session. Every student learns or feels the challenge of certain subject differently. I respond to that after first tutoring session, again by thoughtfully thinking of the most effective way to explain the subject to assure the help from my tutoring is translated into permanent gainful ability for the student. I do heavy lifting for my students by organizing and presenting concepts and information of a certain subject in a systematic view and by diving into details, specific rules and nuances throughout my tutoring. I also share practice materials, lesson plans, presentations, and other resources with my students with no reservation, free of extra charge. Whether a student's goal is to get a perfect score or improve his or her score a great deal, my goal is to provide the student with confidence, belief and power to reach his or her goal.

I studied TOEFL thoroughly when I was preparing for my own TOEFL in 1997 for graduate school admission. I scored 623 (total was 660 then) with percentile rank of 93% in October 1997. I began to live in America and have used English professionally and personally everyday ever since then. As a result, my comprehensive English ability and perspective on studying and teaching TOEFL have crystallized. As a tutor, I help students improve comprehensive English language ability and test taking skills. I teach students how to build near native American's listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities, if not better, how to perform their best at the test, and explain practice or actual past tests question by question to ensure a great result.
