"Hello! My name is Cedric Sumner, and I am a senior at Mercer University studying Mathematics. I’ve been tutoring for 5 years now, and over that time, I’ve helped a wide range of children realize that the “massive educational hurdle” from school entrance exams, tutoring for standardized testing, or general study skills, is really a problem with a clear solution if you attack it from the right angle! My process involves finding the child wherever they are and helping them to develop strategies that work for them to utilize in the classroom when we aren’t together.

I’ve worked with clients ranging from 11 to 22 years of age, and for each person, I’ve made sure that we start and stay on the same page throughout our session. I enjoy seeing the metaphorical lightbulb go off when someone I’m helping realizes that what they’re struggling with isn’t that difficult after all!

I scored a 34 on the ACT, with a perfect score in Reading, and scores in all other sections above a 32. I’ve helped students achieve an average of a 3 point increase on their ACT, mainly by identifying weaknesses that they have in the test taking process, and inefficiencies in their processes.
