"Hi, I’m Adarsh! I am an Aerospace Engineering undergraduate at the University of Texas at Austin, with industry experience including internships at SpaceX and Relativity Space. I have had over a year and a half of experience tutoring both high schoolers and college students on Wyzant and have been helping students ace their Physics, Calculus, and Engineering classes.
My approach to tutoring is simple. For every topic, there is the theoretical knowledge that is to be learned, and then aspects of real life where that knowledge can be applied. From my own experience and from talking to students, a lot of students are taught a topic and struggle to understand it, and a big part of that is a lack of teaching on how the topic can be applied in real life. As an engineer, my job is to take theoretical knowledge and apply it in innovative ways in real life, and my approach to tutoring is to bring that system to my students. I will ensure my students get a good foundation of knowledge in a topic as well as a lot of problems to apply what they have just learned. I believe that to learn a subject, a student must want to learn it, and oftentimes students dislike a subject because they do not understand what it is useful for. I aim to provide real-world examples for subjects such as physics and math to show the usefulness of what the student has just learned.
I have also noticed that students, including myself, dislike a subject if their teacher is bad teacher. Having suffered from this problem myself, it is my priority to teach in an engaging way, asking questions to gauge understanding, and ensuring that the student feels comfortable and interested.
Here are a few of my qualifications: 5is in AP Physics C: Mechanics and E&M, Physics 2, Physics 1, and Calculus BC. If you are interested in learning Physics, Calculus, Geometry, or any of the other courses I tutor, feel free to reach out. I not only aim to help my students learn a topic, but to foster and further their interest in learning." less...
