"I am a calm, easygoing individual who actively listens to students in need of help. I try my best to teach the subject matter based on their learning style. I'm always positive, and try to keep the students engaged by starting a conversation and keeping the pace steady. I work hard to simplify problems in a systematic manner so that the student gains a full understanding of key concepts."
I am Mark H., 25 years of age, born on January 10th 1991. For the past two years, I have been attending the University of Texas at Arlington pursuing my undergraduate degrees in Mathematics and Geology, which were attained December 2016. It has been an exciting experience with no regrets, and I met a lot of driven individuals who shared the same passion along the way. I started tutoring Mathematics in the Spring of 2014. I assisted students with lab projects, oversaw exams, facilitated problem solving skills, and instigated a systematic approach to solving various math problems. I enjoyed the satisfaction of building confidence in students who initially were intimidated by Mathematics. Over the course of my tutoring career at UTA, I watched these students grow to appreciate Mathematics, and develop skills needed for their own future careers.
