"Hi! My name is Ayesha! I’m a college student majoring in Neuroscience, pre-med. I have tutored students for the past 4 years in various subjects, some of which include English, Reading/Writing Comprehension, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and more. These students range from kindergarteners to high schoolers, so I am really flexible with different age groups. During sessions, I strive to teach in a fun, engaging method best suited for my student. If they require additional time or practice, I will not hesitate to aid them in the best form. My goal when tutoring is for the student to fully comprehend their particular subject-field, not only improving their cognitive skills, but also instilling a sense of confidence and fulfillment. Seeing your student’s eyes brighten up from confusion to comprehension is one of the most wholesome, memorable feelings as a tutor, which is the main reason why I enjoy teaching.
Throughout high school, I took AP classes such as AP Calculus 1 and 2, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, Honors Organic Chemistry, AP Literature and AP Statistics. I was also able to score a 5 on both Calculus 1 and 2 AP Exams. In terms of my English and grammar skills, I scored a 36 on the English portion of the ACT and also have SAT Math experience. To show my dedication in academics, I received a 4.0 GPA in high school and currently have a 4.0 GPA in college. Some of the college courses I have taken and excelled in include General Chemistry 1 and 2 as well as Organic Chemistry 1 and 2. With these credentials, I aim to help guide students on the path to success.
With all of my tutoring sessions, I am always looking for suggestions from both parents and students on ways to improve their learning environment. Please do not hesitate to ask me additional questions or for extra practice! I cater towards the student’s needs, so feel free to contact me whenever! Thanks!" less...
