"I believe that math is about problem solving and decision making. Rather than teaching the memorization of formulas, I teach young people how to think, how to approach a problem, how to determine what we know and what we need to know to solve the problem/reach the decision. I begin with what the student already knows and how their mind already works and try to build from there. I am a parent of three and want to help all students feel comfortable with math."
