"Hello! I'm Alissa, a master's student and a proud woman in STEM! I’m passionate about science education and helping students feel confident in subjects that often seem intimidating. I’ll be graduating soon with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology (Genetics concentration). Over the past few years, I’ve conducted and developed multiple research projects through my university, which has strengthened both my scientific and analytical skills. My coursework and research experience have given me a strong foundation in the sciences, mathematics, and formal writing. I will be continuing my education in graduate school at the start of the new year. My background in research has strengthened both my problem-solving skills and my ability to communicate complex topics clearly, which I bring into my tutoring sessions.
