"Hello, My name is Jennifer and I am currently a certified middle school English/Language Arts teacher. I have been teaching for a total of 2 1/2 years. I have experience teaching grades 7th, 8th, 9th, and 11th in one school, so I have taught students ranging from ages 12 to 17 years old. I have also tutored students after school for at least one year. All of my experience comes from being in the classroom setting so I have experience with meeting the needs of all learning.

My approach to teaching starts with identifying where students currently are in their learning. If students are lacking in certain prerequisite skills I find it best to teach what they need first and apply those skills to help them in the area they need the most help in. I believe that unlocking prerequisite skills is the key to helping students not only catch up, but it can also help them get ahead in their learning.
