"I am a college student at St. George's University in Grenada, currently studying Biology, Ecology, and Conservation. I will graduate in 2024. I have a high amount of experience in tutoring biology and English grammar and have tutored for over 6 years. I teach fairly advanced subjects and my expertise lies in general biology, chemistry, ornithology, taxonomy, English creative writing, English literature, English grammar, and genetics. I am currently working on completing my Bachelor of Biology degree in Grenada, but I currently reside in Brooklyn, New York. I have taken numerous biology courses, and I have received excellent grades in said courses.

I was a peer tutor at the age of 13, and at the age of 16, I had a summer class with students ages 13, 7, and 8, and taught them all a crash course on English grammar as well as taxonomy. My teaching style is highly interactive and conceptual. I also often make packets and cheat sheets for my students that easily cover the main points of lectures and class material. Despite my enthusiastic and interactive style, I am also quite rigorous and put emphasis on memorization. For a majority of biology courses, memorization is key, which is one of the reasons why I emphasize it so much. With my teaching style, my students were able to retain information and thoroughly understand key concepts.

Privately, I have taught a total of 8 students, all between the ages 6-14. I have taught both one-on-one sessions as well as very small classes consisting of 3 students on the same grade level. Though my tutoring courses were mainly biology and English related, I have experience in teaching 4th-5th grade level math as well as U.S. history. In my experience, I am able to better work with older students, or students around my age group, as a peer tutor would. However, I do function well with students in the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades when it comes to younger age groups.
