"I'm Estefany. I graduated from Antioch University with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology. All through my education, I figured out that my strengths were in language skills, English and writing. I have a deep passion for self expression through writing and language. I speak three languages fluently and I also like to write in my free time. I am also majorly passionate about helping others. While doing my higher education, I worked as an ESL / English tutor, I find that I am my best self when doing this as it brings everything I love together. I think there is so much satisfaction in seeing my students succeed and leave tutoring sessions more confident. They learn from me and I learn from them. I have worked with a very diverse group of students which is why I am very conscious of their learning styles and what works best for each student. I like to accommodate them as much as possible so they get the best out of our sessions.

I have been tutoring at a local community college for 6 years now. I have been tutoring for ESL all 6 six years and for the English department for 3 years. I work with adults from various backgrounds. I have tutored in classrooms of different levels of ESL in subjects such as Grammar, Reading and Writing. I also have been tutoring for a college level English class where I work in individual sessions via zoom. I even work weekends and make my schedule as flexible as possible as I know many students also have other responsibilities besides school. Prior to the pandemic, I worked in person in a tutoring center however, when the pandemic began. All my sessions transitioned to virtual and found them to be more effective as I can offer a more diverse schedule for my students and its more accessible since getting to a certain location is not always possible.
