"Hello! My name is Bradley Ray. Thanks for checking out my profile! I am a certified, full-time English Language Arts & Reading teacher. I've worked in high school classrooms as an English teacher since 2013, and since 2019 that also includes AP English Language & Composition. I graduated with honors from Texas A&M Commerce in 2012 with a Bachelor's degree in English.

I have also worked as a contracted tutor in the past, helping students from K-12 in subjects such as:

--Preparing for SAT Reading and Writing

--Preparing for ACT Reading and English

--Preparing for the AP English Language and AP English Literature exams

--Composing essays for scholarship and college applications

--Improving general literacy and composition skills

--Knowledge of grammar, usage, and mechanics

--Literature, textual analysis, vocabulary, and comprehension

--Phonics and phoneme learning with elementary school students

I also have a second degree from Texas A&M Commerce in History, and have tutored students in subjects including:

My experience in the classroom comes primarily from working in public schools. My students are predominantly Hispanic/Latino (including ESL and emergent-bilingual) and African-American, and I have many years working with students from various different backgrounds and cultures.
