"Hello! My name is Emily and I work full-time for the Scripps National Spelling Bee doing all things words for the program, from the classroom to the national level. Though I spend most days with my head in the dictionary now, I got my start as a writing coach at Wright State University during my undergraduate years. It was there that I fell in love with tutoring.

I hold a degree in English with a focus in 7th-12th grade Integrated Language Arts Education, but I have experience tutoring and teaching students from a range of cultural backgrounds, from the middle school to the post-graduate level. I am also a College Reading and Learning Association Level 1 Certified tutor.
