"I am Marg Papakostas-Patterson, a linguist and educator with more than 18 years of experience teaching Modern Greek, Ancient Greek, and Latin. I hold a degree in Linguistics from Athens, Greece, and a master’s degree focused on ADHD and inclusive education. After moving to the United States, I was awarded a full scholarship to study UX design, which allowed me to integrate advanced design thinking and digital tools into my teaching practice.

I have taught for major U.S. institutions including the University of California, Berkeley, UCLA, the University of Oregon, the University of Utah, and Columbia University. My students have included university learners, heritage speakers, and professionals seeking advanced language skills and cultural literacy.

A central element of my approach is the development of personal language portfolios for each student. These portfolios provide a structured and tangible record of their linguistic growth, combining language proficiency with digital literacy. They can be used for academic applications, professional advancement, or personal milestones.
