"Hello, I'm Brandon, and I look forward to meeting you! I have 14+ years of experience tutoring students in grades K–12 in math and science. I also have experience consulting pre-med students, and current medical students who are trying to match into Anesthesiology. I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience with Honors and from CWRU SOM with a Doctorate of Medicine (MD). I am currently an anesthesiology resident at a world renown hospital.

Throughout my academic career, I noticed that the courses in which I experienced the most success weren't based on the subject itself, but rather were those where I had the best professors, tutors, and mentors. I was inspired through their passion for teaching and sincere interest in my personal growth, and want to do the same for others. While tutoring hundreds of students, I noticed that many were struggling because nobody took the time to figure out not only what they were not understanding, but why. My approach is to find these reasons, whether it is a lack of fundamentals, conceptual misunderstandings, etc., and fix them so that students are better equipped to handle even more difficult subjects moving forward. In addition, I develop personalized study strategies and teach how to learn regardless of the material. By doing so, I help every student grow as life-long learners.

My goal and philosophy is to help optimize and refine the way students learn so that they will benefit long after our sessions are completed. To do so, it is vital to create a relaxed and safe learning environment so that they feel comfortable asking any questions. I do this by establishing that it is okay to not know something, which I will readily admit. What's more important is nurturing curiosity and the drive to learn, and mastering the process of discovering and acquiring that knowledge.
