"I am a student at California Polytechnic State University, majoring in Animal Science and minoring in Biology and Biotechnology. I play flute and piccolo in the Cal Poly Wind Ensemble and have played my instruments for over 10 years.

I have worked as a tutor and a teaching assistant within the college, teaching mainly biology and chemistry. I have experience teaching flute techniques and music theory outside of school.

I am passionate about the intersection between STEM and the arts, and how the different ways of thinking required for each create a more well-rounded student. I bring this idea to my sessions to introduce new ways of thinking about a difficult topic to improve student understanding.

My tutoring sessions encourage students to form a strong understanding of the content, while I provide guidance to help them learn in a way that suits them best. In a typical session, I allow students to make decisions about what they want to work on, and I provide resources and helpful explanations to improve understanding.
