"I have tutored pre-med college students from the universities all over the United States. I have tutored both general chemistry and organic chemistry as well as chemistry for nurses. I understand the enormous pressure that students trying to enter pre-health professions face every day. I see my job as to help them make their dream of becoming a health care professional a reality.

I obtained my Ph.D. in organic chemistry from University of California, Santa Cruz. As a graduate student I taught both general chemistry and organic chemistry courses and also made extra money tutoring college and high school students. After getting my Ph.D. I worked as a research scientist in a few startups in Bay Area, California. I really enjoyed the thrill of scientific discovery but something was missing from my life. Even though the research I was doing was useful, the effects of it could be seen thirty years from now or may be never at all. Tutoring is a chance for me to be useful right away. There is nothing more gratifying than when you see this light in student's eyes and hear the phrase: "I finally got it!"

I see my job as to provide the missing ingredients from the educational experience. For some students the lecture or the book simply does not make sense. I will explain the concept in as many different ways as needed until the student gets it. For some students more practice problems are needed and I am happy to provide as many problems as needed and guide the student through a solution. We are all different and learn in different fashions. I see my job as to find the right way and to unlock that potential that I see in every student who comes to me.
