"I love to TEACH.

I am an experienced High School Biology teacher of 16 years. My name is Jessica Santos. I have a Bachelor's in Biology and Master's in Educational/Organization Leadership and Administration.

Teaching is my passion. I love teaching students of all ages and helping them realize how cool and exciting it is to learn about Biology. I help students master the content, give students studying strategies, and prepare students for upcoming exams and quizzes using test taking strategies.

Part of my teaching strategy is helping students relate key concepts and content to real life to keep them engaged. With every lesson, I will send over my slides and review questions that they can use to test their knowledge.

My best skill is breaking down the content or chapter into small digestible bites and building up until the student has a good understanding of the entire concept and/or process. Building rapport with my students is my top priority because when my students feel valued by me, they are more willing to engage and learn even difficult concepts.

I look forward to the opportunity to share my passion and love for Biology as I help strengthen you /your child's knowledge and study skills. Students will learn how to organize information in a way where they can make connections with important key terms and understand how everything fits together.

If you are struggling or need help studying for a test, quiz or end of course exams, do not hesitate to reach out! I am also a mentor to students that need that additional push. I teach my students organizational skills, study skills, and I help students stay on track throughout the school year.Although my expertise is in Biology, I am a coach for students who need that motivation. I can assist with homework help to ensure assignments are being completed. I will help your child stay on track.
