"I’m a Harvard-trained educator with more than ten years of experience teaching AP Biology, Biology, and Psychology to high school students. I hold an Ed.M. in Mind, Brain & Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Sc.B. with Honors in Human Biology from Brown University. A throughline in all my work is a genuine love of diversity—diversity in identities, diversity in brains and learning differences, and the rich diversity of the natural world that biology teaches us to appreciate.

For five years, I served as an Associate Director of Research at a leading education center, where I didn’t just teach students—I taught teachers and school leaders how to teach. I helped educators around the world understand the science of learning and align their instruction with how the brain actually thrives. That experience shaped my core belief, supported by research, that safety, trust, and belonging are the foundation of all meaningful learning. When students feel respected and at ease, they learn more deeply and with far less stress.

My tutoring style is warm, patient, and grounded in both cognitive science and coaching. I pay close attention to each student’s nervous system—when they’re overwhelmed, when they need more structure, and when they’re ready to take the lead. I have extensive experience supporting neurodivergent learners, including students with ADHD, autism, anxiety, and executive-function challenges, and I tailor pacing and explanations to make even complex topics feel accessible. I create a safe, inclusive, LGBTQ+ and neurodiversity-affirming learning environment where every student can show up exactly as they are.
