"I have taught for 15 years from grades 8 - 12th. I enjoy physics and math and really work with my students so that they understand each problem and solution. I am able to explain a concept in many different ways and know where students usually struggle when solving for an answer. I think the most important part of any learning process is reviewing the topics and seeing them in new ways. I do not rush through the material just to get through it. I would rather go at the speed that is right for the learner.
I have been a grader for the AP Physics exam the past 4 summers and have seen thousands of student responses. I also write questions for the College Board and their exams and practice units online. I know how to help students navigate through each question and decide what is important and what is not needed. I can help the student craft their answer so that it earns the most points possible for the time given on the exam. Because I have seen so many questions and responses I am able to help students review for the AP Physics exam very well and earn a high score.
I apply math in each physics lesson I teach and know how to ask a question that relates to the math concept in a real way. I enjoy working with examples when teaching math topics.
I have taught physics and physical science for the past 15 years. I also help to write questions for the AP exams and I grade those exams with fellow teachers.
Please contact me if you would like to schedule a lesson dealing with physics or math. I like to work with students and help them understand how wonderful physics and math can be once it is broken apart for them." less...
