"Hello, I'm Denali! I'm a former Google employee tutoring AP Computer Science, Java, basic HTML/CSS/Javascript web development, and Video Production. I graduated from UC Davis with a double Bachelor’s degree in both Computer Science and Cinema Digital media, and have a Master's in film directing from Chapman University. I previously worked as a data science contractor at Google for 2 years.

With 2 years of tutoring under my belt, I've had the pleasure of teaching AP Computer Science and mathematics to students aged 10 and above, as well as video production to college age individuals.

I like to tailor my tutoring approach to fit the unique needs of each student. Difficulties with complex topics often trace back to foundational concepts, so I focus on pinpointing these weak areas and clarifying them in simple terms and relatable analogies. Rather than solely lecturing, I prefer involving students through interactive exercises and collaborative problem-solving. Creating a positive and comfortable learning environment is my top priority, and I always encourage questions—there's no such thing as asking too many!

Ensuring I am an effective tutor for each student is important for me, so I offer a 10-minute trial during the first session. After 10 minutes, the student can decide whether to proceed with the session for the full rate, or discontinue, in which case no price will be charged.
