"I believe that writing is a skill that needs to be practiced and cultivated. My tutoring and consultations are informed by my career as a professional writing instructor and university administrator. My philosophy centers on teaching students concrete skills that demystify the writing process. I believe in a collaborative approach where students are active participants in sessions and retain ownership over their ideas and writing. Since 2019, I have taught hundreds of students ranging from first-year college students in humanities classes to high school students working on their college admissions essays. I am also proud of my work with advanced students and professionals, including engineering and biochemistry PhD students, new teachers in training, and business professionals.

I am a current PhD student in the English Department at the CUNY Graduate Center, where I research early modern drama and the history of science. As part of my graduate work, I work as a Teaching Fellow at Brooklyn College (starting in Fall 2025). I am also a remote adjunct instructor for the Writing Program at the University of Chicago.

Previously, I worked full time for the UChicago’s Writing Program for over five years, most recently as an Assistant Director, teaching high school, undergraduate, and graduate students from a wide range of disciplines and backgrounds.
