I have 15 years of professional experience teaching German and 20 years of professional experience teaching piano, including music theory, at all ages and levels.

I taught all levels of collegiate German to Stanford undergraduates and graduate students for 7 years. After receiving my PhD, I taught all levels of German at an accredited college-prep high school for 6 years (AP-aligned) and worked at a German international school in the United States for 2 years (IB-aligned).

My AP German courses had an average pass rate of 91% (compared to the global pass rate of 67%), including 2 years with a 100% pass rate for the entire class. As an independent tutor, 100% of my students have successfully passed the AP German exam with a score of 5. I have been an AP exam reader for 4 years and have professional experience scoring all the AP German free response tasks.
